Coffin Hill Issue 20

I was very surprised, Fangirls, when I found that there was only one issue of Coffin Hill to review today. I was  expecting at least two, maybe even three. But I found just the one, and upon it’s completion, I realized that this is the final issue of Coffin Hill.

I can’t say that I’m all that happy that Coffin Hill is over, it’s the first horror comic that I’ve read, and though it really creeps me out, I still feel safe after reading it. Though I don’t want to go into too much detail, a lot goes on in this final issue, so here goes.

Basically, things get wrapped up. Nate is pulled from his attachment to the Coffin Witch, the new chief finds out his identity, and the Coffin Witch is fought. It’s grey and bloody, and everything I’ve come to expect from Kitteredge and Miranda. To say that they killed it would be both incredibly accurate, and a fantastic pun.

I’m not going to go all out and tell you the exact ending, but this comic is very worth reading. It’s definitely scary (I would not want to run into the Coffin Witch), but I never had nightmares from it, which is big for me (I’m scared of everything). It’s an amazing story, beautifully illustrated, and well worth your time and money.
